Trigger announces NPO success

The team here at Trigger are delighted to announce that we have been successful in gaining National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) status with Arts Council England for 2023 – 26.

It’s the first time Trigger has applied for NPO status, and this marks a huge milestone for us, however we know this will be a disappointing and tough day for many organisations in our sector.

In the last year, we have collaborated with over 500+ artists and performers, delivered workshops to 1,200 participants, worked with 550 school students and 800 community group members, supported by 200+ volunteers, and we are incredibly proud to have reached live audiences of over 180k people.

This investment will enable Trigger to extend our reach even further over the next 3 years, and continuing our commitment to reaching and engaging people with projects and ideas that catalyse social change.

“This gives us our best chance to continue to create and produce bold and brave live events for, by, and with audiences and communities across the UK and beyond. We are driven to create work in response to societal issues, and we push boundaries while bringing people together showcasing what is great about our diverse cultures. It has never been more important to highlight the issues that exist in our societies, and NPO status allows us to do this whilst continuing to celebrate our collective creativity.”
