We are looking for artists, performers and facilitators based in Sussex to be part of a series of outdoor events at Ashdown Forest and across the Wealden district in summer 2026.
Who we would like to hear from:
Workshop leaders and facilitators
Storytellers
Circus performers
Musicians (acoustic)
Walkabout / character performers
Craft and visual artists
Nature-based practitioners
Physical theatre or movement artists
Your work should be interactive, family-friendly and suitable for outdoor delivery.

The School Workshop Facilitators will deliver dynamic, engaging 1hr workshops in primary schools across the Wealden District, using the materials and session plans developed by the project’s Primary Education Specialist. Our facilitators will act as Explorers from Ashdown Forest coming to recruit new children to protect and look after the forest and their own green spaces.

We are seeking an experienced Duty Manager to oversee live operations across this large-scale, multi-zoned outdoor event. This role is critical to ensuring a safe, smooth and high-quality audience experience, with a particular focus on visitor flow, front-of-house coordination, and the successful delivery of activity across the site. You will act as the central operational lead on event days, coordinating teams, managing real-time issues, and maintaining consistency across all areas of the event.
