Trigger Holiday Club

Kids were invited to join us in arts, crafts, and outdoor adventures

Kids are invited to join us in arts, crafts, and outdoor adventures as part of Trigger's Holiday Club for 5-11 year olds!

This summer, children aged 5-11 years old were called to embark on an unforgettable journey filled with arts, crafts, and outdoor adventures during Trigger's thrilling 5-day creative holiday club.

Having flown dragons and grown epic city-centre super gardens, Trigger’s ambitious work had reached almost 200,000 people in the previous two years! The Hatchling, a giant dragon puppet the size of a double-decker bus, was last seen exploring the centre of Wakefield!

Under expert guidance and supported by designated Rangers from Mendip Hills National Landscape, children delved into the great outdoors, where they constructed their own cozy dens and embarked on thrilling adventures. They also channeled their limitless creativity through engaging activities such as puppet making, immersive music workshops, and much more!

The week was bursting with activities designed to ignite imagination and foster a deep connection with nature. Led by seasoned local artists right in the heart of North Somerset, it was an adventure not to be missed.

A look back at Holiday Club 2024

On Monday, we got to know eachother by playing out some theatrical games and learned about the importance of local wetlands and aquatic wildlife, finishing the day with racing rafts of Rickford Stream.

On Tuesday, we took shelter among the trees on Burrington Ham and explored the local forest wildlife.

Over the week we used the powers of our imagination, from making puppet birds and chocolate nests to creating our 5 star bug hotel and putting together beautiful bug-themed costumes using upcycled clothing for our grand finale- the opening of the Bug Hotel and Bugify Me Fashion Show!

Feedback from parents

"So impressed with the team and range of activities. A really nice layed back atmosphere too. My child loved the adults and they were a huge support for him when he felt scared of coming on his own."

"She came away from it very enthusiastic and excited which shows she enjoyed it and felt comfortable there. It also seemed to help build her confidence and she has been more outgoing since attending."

"Great partnering with the National Landscapes team."
