Trigger At Home
Take a look through our North Somerset based projects

Trigger is for everyone and everyone is invited
When we’re not flying giant dragons or growing pop-up super gardens, we’re nurturing and celebrating the creativity and community around us in North Somerset.
We’re based in an old, converted post office, located in the Somerset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty valley in the beautiful Mendip Hills however like many rural areas some that live there experience social isolation, racial division and financial deprivation. Our skills lie in developing creative interventions to heal such divides, and we receive commissions to deliver this work in big cities such as Birmingham and Plymouth. However, we want to make a local difference – and for local people to make a difference to our work.
Trigger At Home support community-led, inclusive arts programming that places people at the centre. These initiatives are part of a wider mission to make high-quality creative experiences accessible to all, nurturing a sense of belonging and celebration.
Local Projects
Humanity Hotel
Humanity Hotel is an ongoing project created to support the wellbeing of asylum seekers housed in initial accommodation centres across North Somerset. This project currently involves ongoing initiatives and regular cultural and creative programming.
We are working in collaboration with local artists, musicians, arts venues and community organisations to deliver regular creative, educational and participatory workshops for this community.

Holiday Club
Each summer, children aged 5-11 years old are called to embark on an unforgettable journey filled with arts, crafts, and outdoor adventures during Trigger's thrilling 5-day creative holiday club.
Under expert guidance and supported by designated Rangers from Mendip Hills National Landscape, children delve into the great outdoors, where they construct their own cozy dens and embark on thrilling adventures. They channel their limitless creativity through engaging activities such as puppet making, immersive music workshops, and much more!
Holiday Club is bursting with activities designed to ignite imagination and foster a deep connection with nature. Led by seasoned local artists right in the heart of North Somerset, it's an adventure not to be missed.
TEABREAK at Home
TEABREAK is a gentle audio experience told through headphones. Relax with a cup of tea for half an hour, and listen as the evocative story of tea unfolds alongside an original composition from Rakae Jamil.
Kicking off on the notorious Blue Monday, we visited care homes in North Somerset and brought the TEABREAK experience to older people, ahead of our Spring/Summer tour of TEABREAK to UK festivals.
We also offered a free virtual TEABREAK experience for one week only. We invited audiences to tune in, enjoy a drink of their choice, and experience TEABREAK from the comfort of their home.
Nurture
Trigger are developing a week-long programme for students at Weston College that mirrors the dynamic, collaborative and fast-paced nature of creative production in arts and cultural industries. As part of Nurture, Trigger have also been integral in setting up North Somerset Creatives, a new monthly network for creatives in North Somerset launched earlier in 2025 for local creatives to share ideas, collaborate & offer peer to peer support.
